My management experience started in 1988 when I became lead programmer of New Frontier. Even in my non professional life, I have always been involved in management tasks in school, high school, military service and leisure organizations I have been an active member.
I built a small video games development company in 1993, called Bit Managers, that became a 25 employees company in a 5 years time. During this period, I developed relations with important publishers in Spain, UK, France, Germany, Japan and USA (like Gaelco, Infogrames, SunSoft or Acclaim) via professional shows and direct contacts, and assumed the role of software manager and CEO of the company, guiding the team and coordinating all the technology.
In 1998, I sold Bit Managers to Gaelco and became the Managing Director of Bit Managers, reporting constantly to the new shareholders. The company generated a turnover of 720,000 Euro in 1999. Three years later I bought my former company to control completely its destiny again.
In 2005, Virtual Toys bought Bit Managers and I became again the Managing Director of Bit Managers. I managed and made grow the company to become the mobile games division of Virtual Toys, providing services and content to EA Mobile, Telefónica, Vodafone and Orange amongst others. I led the company to become a successful Nintendo DS and Wii developer, working for hire for big publishers as Ubisoft and developing also internal projects for DSiWare, PSP minis, iOS and PC. Actualmente estoy trabajando en un proyecto interno.
I am a passionate of sports and I love running. I have finished twelve marathons and my best chrono is 3 hours and 9 minutes. I run five days a week. As familiy and work are by far more important than hobbies, I usually get up at 5:00am to have the time to practice my favourite sport.
